Today, students will be watching Bill Nye video in class. Be prepared to take notes and to use these notes in a class discussion. Please also be prepared to turn in your notes after the lesson as they will be graded.
Tuesday:
Students should review the cycle of the moon and its phases as we will be creating our very own Earth and Moon. We will be using the camera today to document the cycle of the moon. Be prepared to navigate your own moon and earth through the different cycles.
Wednesday:
Students will be going to the computer lab today! We will be working on a web quest about the sun. This web quest will be turned in and graded so please answer all of the questions thoroughly.
Another day in the computer lab! Students please review your notes on the planets as you will get to create all nine planets in the computer lab today. We will be working to create, label, and describe the major characteristics of the planets. This creation will be turned in and graded.
Friday:
Today students will be grouped together in their “planet groups.” As a group you will get to create a planet which will be used throughout the activity. As a class you will arrange yourselves in the correct order of the planets (don’t forget to include the distances!). I will be taking pictures and as a class we will go over the arrangements on a PowerPoint.
